Pin Function Legend

P / A (Plate / Anode) High-voltage element that collects electrons emitted from the cathode.
K / C (Cathode) Emits electrons when heated. Heated directly or indirectly by the filament.
G / G1 (Control Grid) Controls electron flow between Cathode and Plate; receives audio input signal.
G2 (Screen Grid) Accelerates electrons & reduces plate-to-grid capacitance in tetrodes/pentodes.
G3 (Suppressor Grid) Prevents secondary emission electrons from returning to the screen grid.
H / Heater (Filament) Provides thermal energy needed for the cathode to emit electrons.
NC (No Connection) Pin is physically present on base but internally unconnected.
IC (Internal Connection) Used internally by manufacturer. Do not use as connection ties in circuits.
