JJ Electronics 12AX7 ECC803

JJ Electronics has placed a lot of emphasis on creating tubes that meet the needs of tube/valve amplifiers. I find the JJ range to be sensational bang for buck and a great performer. I personally recommend JJ's and the 12ax7 ECC803 is no exception. A little bit more about the tube itself below.

12AX7 ECC803 JJ Electronic twin triode

The JJ 12AX7 ECC803 (sometimes call a 12AX7 and sometimes called an ECC803.. both are accurate) is a long-plate version of the standard 12AX7. The ECC803 is designed with larger plates that help bring more lows / bass through.

It has a rich and full tone with creamy distortion that does well in any 12AX7 application whilst providing more of the low frequencies. Spiral filament for reduced microphonics.

These tubes work well in all applications, however, check the height/space available if you have a combo as some of these have tight spaces and these tubes are slightly taller. 

These tubes are

• 49.2mm glass height
• 56.3mm from pins to the tip of the glass, So you will need at least this height to out the tube in.
• 22mm wide
