Full of the excitement and intrigue of that first decade of home radio, the book is a pictorial presentation of the radio tubes of the era. With over 400 photos and illustrations of early tubes, it shows the colourful packaging and sometimes unusual construction features employed by tube makers to market their products to the public. Potentiometers

 

These are great replacement potentiometers for vintage radio volume and tone controls. They have a SPST on/off switch, require a 1/4 inch mounting hole and have a shaft length of 1 3/8 inches which can be trimmed to the required length.

Some new, old stock single gang potentiometers have come our way. There are very limited quantities so stock up while you can!

All are priced at $8 each including GST and have long shafts that can be trimmed to suit most vintage radios.

Speaker Transformers

Hammond manufacture a range of small multi-tap transformers suitable for replacements in all types of radios. These transformers have multiple secondaries and come with a list showing the connections required to match a certain primary impedance (the output valve load) to the desired speaker impedance. If in doubt, we can assist you with the information you need. The primary winding is centre-tapped for use in single-ended or push-pull output stages as required.

 

There are several choices depending on the output power:

125A    for 3 watts output     price   $50.00 inc. GST     

125B    for 5 watts output                $53.60                   

125C    for 8 watts output                $56.00                   

125D    for 10 watts output              $59.40                   

125E    for 15 watts output              $69.80                  

 

       INTERSTAGE TRANSFORMERS             FOR 1920's TRF Receivers

 

* These are universal replacement types for 1920's TRF receivers. They have a 1:3 ratio with a centre-tapped secondary that can be used for push-pull grids. Primary impedance 10kohms, secondary 90kohms. Maximum primary current 10mA. 2 inch mounting centres - these can be fitted into some of the old cans such as those made by Philips.

      RCA Radiola  III-A  replacement audio transformer

 

* This is a universal replacement type - it will replace ANY of the 3 audio transformers used (1st audio driver, second audio - phase splitter stage or output transformer), by correctly connecting the 5 lugs.
